3rd Annual Breast Cancer Awareness Day

Riding on the success of the last 2 years, Camelback Mountain Resort is proud to show support for Boarding for Breast Cancer, B4BC, by raising awareness and promoting early detection & an active lifestyle. This year we will also be donating half the proceeds to Pocono Medical’s Breast Cancer center to ensure that our event benefits local families as well.

Take a look at what's going on this year:

  • Displaying Pink across the mountain
  • Fliers with examination information will be on display
  • T shirts, wristbands, Pink Bandannas and hats will be sold throughout the day to raise money for Breast Cancer Research
  • Women's all day ski/ snowboard package $145-Capped at 30
    •         Package Includes:
    • 9:30-10:15 am: Women will meet in the Discovery Rental Center for registration and to pick up their pre-set rental equipment.
    • 10:15 – 10:30: Stretch session before on the snow training.
    • 10:30 – 12:00: Out on the snow for session one training!!
    • 12:00 – 1:00: Lunch provided with the instructor in the East Side Bistro. Lunch will include your choice of the following items:
      • ** A Caesar Salad & 22 oz. fountain drink.
      • ** Wrap of the Day & 22 oz. fountain drink.
      • ** 1 Topping Pizza & 22 oz. fountain drink.
    • 1:00-3:00: Out on the snow for session two training!!
    • 3:00-3:15: Wrap up of the day’s lessons and then women are free to explore terrain while using techniques they have learned. 
    • Remember when you go online to purchase the package, you need to pick February 11, 2012 on the Calendar on the right for the package to show for purchase, then pick if you would like a package with a helmet or without a helmet.

  • A raffle will be held outside the East Side Bistro, followed by an additional raffle in the Thirsty Camel to raise more funds. Items to be raffled include goggles, skis, snowboards and lots of T shirts and other items
  • The grand finale will be an auctioning off some of our best snowboard and ski instructors – you can bid for their time and valued instruction on snow for your own private lesson

Schedule of Events

  • 10:00 am – Donation table set up in Thirsty Camel.  Instructors will also be walking around the resort with large white buckets encouraging guests to purchase: wristbands, bandannas, hats or to just donate
  • 12-2pm- DJ will be playing on the Bistro Deck
  • 2:30pm – Raffle off snowboard and other swag on the Bistro Deck
  • 4:45pm – Second raffle in the Thirsty Camel – Items include hardgoods and other swag
  • 6:00pm- Auction off private lessons with some of Camelback’s best instructors

Spend a Sunday with the Girls!
Come out and learn to ski or snowboard with specifically-trained female instructors in a truly encouraging environment. The Chicks On Sticks Learn To Ski or Snowboard package includes a beginner lift ticket, morning group lesson, lunch with your instructor and afternoon group lesson. Our instructors have the tools to make your day on the snow a blast!

Available on non-holiday Sundays from January 1st through February 27th, 2012.

WOMEN'S WEDNESDAY PROMO

Buy one all-day lift ticket, get one free! Bring your friend, mom or daughter to the mountain on Wednesdays and both of you can ski or ride for half the cost. This offer is available online only, click here to purchase.

This item entitles you to two adult women same day open-to-close lift ticket , valid any non-holiday Wednesday of the 2011-2012 ski season. (Spring 2012) You will receive one voucher valid for two lift tickets on the same day. Voucher must be surrendered at the time of scan.

Not Valid on the following holidays: 12/28/11 and 2/22/12.
