Camelback Sets Record – Longest Season Ever —Surpasses mark that stood for nearly twenty years to draw new line in the snow
TANNERSVILLE, PA – Today, Monday, March 23, 2009, Camelback Mountain Resort is proud to announce that it has matched the record for its longest season in history.  Camelback is excited to set a new mark tomorrow, and invites all skiers and riders to celebrate this historic milestone on Wednesday with some sensational pricing.  In recognition of this notable “Hump Day” and the 124th day of the season, Camelback will offer a special $12.40 lift ticket.  Officially, Camelback anticipates drawing a new line in the snow on Saturday, April 4, 2009 – which Camelback expects to be its 130th day of operation for the 2008-2009 season.  This record-setting accomplishment will also be observed with noteworthy specials throughout the resort, highlighted by an incredible $9.99 lift ticket.

TANNERSVILLE, PA –   Camelback Mountain Resort is set to redefine the “savings” in Daylight Savings. Beginning this Monday, March 9, 2009, Camelback will offer a sizzling $27 learn-to-package that includes a lift ticket, equipment rental and lesson – available every day beginning at 3 pm.  In addition to this offer, Camelback will also extend FREE skiing and riding privileges to all season passholders from any other mountain.  Just to add a little more daylight to your savings, Camelback has also launched an unprecedented 2009-2010 season pass sale that includes unlimited lift access for the rest of this season and potential savings of $250 on next year’s pass.

TANNERSVILLE, PA –   This Saturday and Sunday, February 28 and March 1, 2009, Camelback Mountain Resort will host the season finals for the Mid-Atlantic Snowboard Series Slopestyle and Halfpipe Competitions. At stake for this elite group of freestyle athletes will be the opportunity to qualify for the USASA National Championships, April 5-10, 2009 at Copper Mountain in Colorado.
 


1/25/2009 - Camelback hosts former Philadelphia Eagle with important cause.

TANNERSVILLE, PA – Earlier this month, former Philadelphia Eagle and current Sports Director for NBC-10 in Philadelphia, Vai Sikahema, visited Camelback Mountain Resort to help change the destiny of a deserving and spirited young lady.  In addition to his responsibilities as Sports Director for NBC 10, Sikahema is also the host of “Wednesday’s Child,” a segment sponsored by the National Adoption Center, Freddie Mac Foundation and NBC 10. The program promotes the adoption of children.

 Prototype equipment tested in preparation for upcoming X Games

TANNERSVILLE, PA – On Sunday, January 25, 2009, Kevin Bramble, a two-time Paralympics gold medalist (Torino and Salt Lake City), two-time first place competitor in the downhill at the U.S. Championships and World Cup downhill champion, will be is Aspen, Colorado competing in the 13th Winter X Games.  This time, however, instead of downhill, Bramble will compete in the Mono Skier-Cross. In addition, Bramble will be competing on a monoski that he first tested as a prototype while visiting Camelback Mountain Resort. A film crew from ESPN joined Bramble to document the excitement and profile his dynamic personality as part of their coverage for the upcoming X-games.

Happy Holidays!TANNERSVILLE, PA – On December 24, 2008, Camelback Mountain Resort celebrated Christmas Eve with its annual “Skiing/Riding Santas.”  This year we had over 50 Santa's come out to ski or ride.  Each Santa recieved a complimentary lift ticket.
