Race & Freestyle Teams

Camelback Mountain is proud to support ski and snowboard racing programs for expert youth who want to train and compete in a variety of elite races. These programs are independently operated and managed by the Pocono Alpine Ski Foundation (PASEF), a parent-run 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation. PASEF’s mission is to support and grow snow sports competition in the Pocono Mountains, with an emphasis on safety, sportsmanship, citizenship, and the preservation of the legacy of Rob Corchnoy, an original member of the Camelback Alpine Team who tragically passed away in 1994.

Ski Race Team

The Ski Race Team is Camelback’s competitive ski racing program for expert skiers age 18 and under competing in local, statewide and regional events sanctioned by the United States Ski and Snowboard Association (USSA).  The Ski Race Team is a member team of the Pennsylvania Alpine Racing Association (PARA) and Ski Race Team athletes represent PARA in regional competitions.  Membership on the Ski Race Team is competitive and by invitation only, based on an athlete’s performance against objective criteria established by the USSA, as determined by the senior coaching staff.  Membership on the Ski Race Team is typically obtained upon the Head Coach’s recommendation for graduation from the Development Ski Team, or by the demonstration to the Head Coach through alternative means of the mastery of required skills.  Members of the Ski Race Team must also sign up for USSA membership.
